Fractal Rock.
I see that Benoit Mandelbrot has died.
And no matter how closely you look at him...he's still dead.

Nice to see you blogging again. Have you been following our excellent strikes in Paris? I can hear a rather noisy demo right now actually.
Yeah...I thought you'd like that one. :-)
More blogging to follow. I may well mention the Slovenian, en passant.
France looks pretty exciting now...but possibly best experienced at a distance.
(your link got concatenated, btw. I think)
Cancel that. Can see now. Nice.
Well, so far the strikes haven't been any inconvenience to me at all, but several people seem to be quite worried about what will happen. We'll see.
Btw, your joke, although pretty obscure, wasn't the most obscure joke I read recently. That honour goes to xkcd on pumpkin carving (see the last frame). I shouldn't think that more than .1% of the people reading that comic got the joke, and they're already quite a nerdy audience. (Look up the "Banach Tarski paradox" if you want in on it.)
I saw a great tweet yesterday:
Lucky Mandelbrot wasn't murdered. It would have taken the police forever to draw the chalk line around his body..
Great to see you back Ed..
